Summary: All the negative thoughts in your head, like ‘writers are broke’ and ‘you can’t make money as a writer’ are limiting beliefs that we’re put into our heads early on and tend to hold us back from achieving our goals but if you think positive and put positive beliefs into the world that will fuel your desire to work towards your goals you can manifest your dreams by releasing limitations.
Day 12 Exercise: This exercise will help you to uncover any limiting beliefs that are currently going on for you, an then help you clear them out by “flipping them into supportive beliefs that are focused on your writing dream.
Uncovering Limiting Beliefs.
Brainstorm all the limiting beliefs that are coming up for you. Don’t hold back or judge, just write them all down. Any thoughts or beliefs you hold currently that feel negative or limiting, add’em to the brainstorm.
Limiting Beliefs:
I could never produce enough books to make a living off of.
Any time I push myself to do better I lose motivation.
My stories aren’t that great or original.
Very few writers actually live off their writing alone.
Flipping the limiting beliefs.
Alright, now it’s time to flip that shit. Using the stuff you came up with in the brainstorm above, fill out the following chart. In the left column, list your limiting beliefs starting from the strongest to the weakest. Then in the right column, write down the opposite of what’s in the left column
