Day Fourteen || Are you “Shoulding” yourself?

Summary: What are some of the things that you think you “Should” be doing to for writing success that are making you unhappy?

Day 14 Exercise: Consider all the things you think you “should” do to reach your writing dream, and whether or not you actually want to do them. And then I want you to consider if there are other, more inspiring actions you can take instead.

A lot of the advice today is “you should be active on TikTok” or other short video platforms. (or any other current trending platform that pops up) I know Youtube now has short video’s available. But as much as I enjoy TikTok and get lost in it, I don’t enjoy making video content for two different sources. I do enjoy making longer Yt videos though and the freedom that derives from that.

Also another word of advice is to have a patreon but I never know what special content to create for paying subscribers and I’m never sure enough of myself to make that kind of commitment. (After all, I’m still debating on rather or not I should post this mess.) So I don’t do it. I made a Ko-Fi instead and that way people can donate if they want to and I can hold to my promise of shout outs to people who support me through there.
